The overnight Delhi–Manali Volvo is one of the most popular routes in North India and is generally safe. Most buses leave around 6–7 PM and reach by morning. HRTC and Himachal Tourism (HPTDC) buses are the most reliable because they stick to fixed timings and have experienced drivers. Private buses can also be good, but some have mixed reviews. During monsoon (July–August), roadblocks due to landslides are possible, and in winter (Dec–Jan), snow near Manali may delay arrival. Carry warm clothes, keep some snacks, and book government buses if safety is your main concern.
