I’ll be visiting Singapore soon and I’m trying to plan my itinerary around exploring some of the city’s cultural neighborhoods. I’ve read a lot about Chinatown, Little India, and Kampong Glam, but I won’t have enough time to explore all three in depth.
Chinatown seems vibrant with temples, hawker centers, and souvenir shopping.
Little India looks colorful and energetic, especially with temples, spice shops, and the famous Mustafa Centre.
Kampong Glam feels unique too, with the Sultan Mosque, Arab Street, and trendy cafes around Haji Lane.
For those who have been, which of these neighborhoods gave you the best overall experience? Were there any hidden gems, food recommendations, or cultural experiences you found especially memorable?
If you had to prioritize one or two, which would you recommend for a first-time visitor looking for a good mix of culture, history, food, and local vibes?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
