Hi everyone,
I’m planning a trip to Singapore soon and I want to get a realistic idea about the daily expenses I should budget for. I’ve read that Singapore can be a bit on the expensive side, but I also know it depends a lot on travel style, food choices, and accommodation.
Here’s a bit about my plan:
Length of stay: Around 5–6 days
Travel style: Mid-range (not too backpacker basic, but not luxury either)
Accommodation: Looking at 3-star or boutique hotels, or maybe a good hostel with private rooms
Food: I’d love to try local hawker centers but might also have a couple of sit-down restaurant meals
Attractions: Planning to visit places like Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa, Night Safari, and maybe Universal Studios
Transport: Will mostly use MRT and buses, but may take Grab occasionally if needed
I’d really appreciate insights on:
Average daily spend for accommodation, food, attractions, and transport
Whether I should plan extra for hidden costs like entrance fees, taxes, or small charges
Tips to save money without missing out on the best experiences
For those who’ve been recently, what was your daily budget range in Singapore? Did you feel you overspent, or was it manageable?
Thanks in advance! This will really help me plan better and avoid surprises.
