Hi everyone, I’m planning a trip to Singapore soon and I’m a bit confused about where I should book my hotel. I’ve shortlisted three areas – Marina Bay, Bugis, and Little India – but each seems to offer a very different vibe.
Marina Bay looks stunning with its skyline views and luxury hotels, but I’m wondering if it’s too expensive and maybe not as convenient for day-to-day exploring.
Bugis seems to be a more central spot with shopping and MRT connections, and I’ve read it’s good for mid-range hotels, but I don’t know how lively it is at night.
Little India looks colorful and budget-friendly, plus I love Indian food, but I’m not sure if it’s the best base for sightseeing around the city.
Since I’ll be in Singapore for 4–5 days, I want to balance convenience (easy access to MRT/tourist attractions) with local experience and of course, budget.
For those of you who’ve stayed in these areas, which one do you think is the best choice for a first-time visitor? Also, would you recommend mixing stays (like 2 nights in Marina Bay for the experience, then moving to Bugis or Little India), or is it better to stay in one place for the whole trip?
