Hi everyone,
I’ll be traveling to Singapore next month, and while going through a few travel blogs, I came across some confusing information regarding chewing gum. I read that chewing gum is banned in Singapore, but I’m not sure how strict this rule actually is for tourists.
I have a habit of chewing gum during flights to ease ear pressure, and I usually carry a few packs in my bag. Some sources say you can’t bring it at all, while others mention exceptions for medical or dental gum.
So my questions are:
Am I allowed to bring a small amount of chewing gum just for personal use?
Will customs officers check or confiscate it at the airport?
Are there any fines or penalties if I happen to carry it unknowingly?
Are there alternatives (like lozenges) that work just as well and are safer to carry?
I want to be careful and avoid getting into trouble over something so small. If anyone has firsthand experience with this, I’d really appreciate your advice.
Thanks in advance!
