Hi fellow travellers,
I’m planning a trip to Singapore soon and had a doubt regarding the immigration process. I’ve read on a few blogs that Singapore immigration officers sometimes ask visitors to show proof of onward or return travel. My plan is to stay in Singapore for about a week as a tourist, and I already have hotel bookings, but I haven’t yet booked my return flight because I might continue my trip to Malaysia or Thailand depending on how things go.
Has anyone here actually been asked to show their return/onward ticket at the airport immigration counter in Singapore? If yes, how strict are they about it? Do they just want to see a confirmed ticket, or is a flexible onward booking/reservation also accepted?
I’d really appreciate if someone could share their recent experience. I don’t want to run into any trouble at Changi after such a long flight!
Thanks in advance 🙏
