I’ve visited both the Singapore Zoo and the Night Safari with my kids, so here’s my take as a parent-traveller.
The Singapore Zoo is fantastic during the day – loads of animals you can see clearly, fun shows, and the KidzWorld play area where little ones can splash around. My kids loved the feeding sessions, and it felt more educational and engaging for younger children. Only thing is, it can get hot, so carrying hats, sunscreen, and water is a must.
The Night Safari was a totally different vibe. It felt more like an adventure – riding the tram through the dark and spotting nocturnal animals. My older one (9 years old) thought it was amazing, but my younger one got a bit tired since it starts late and it’s not always easy to spot animals in the dim light.
If I had to choose one, I’d say Zoo for younger kids, Night Safari for slightly older kids who won’t mind the late hours. If you have time and energy, doing both (Zoo in the day, Night Safari after a rest) gives the best of both worlds.
