Hi everyone, I’m planning a trip to Sri Lanka in early 2025 and I’ll be staying in different parts of the country, including Colombo, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, and the southern beaches like Mirissa. Since I’ll need to stay connected for work and also to keep in touch with family back in India, I wanted to ask: do most hotels in Sri Lanka provide free Wi-Fi these days? Is it usually available in the rooms or only in common areas like the lobby? Also, how reliable and fast is the Wi-Fi connection in general, especially in smaller towns or beachside guesthouses? Would you recommend buying a local SIM card instead for better internet access? Any recent experiences or tips would be really helpful, thanks!”
