I’ll be landing at Bandaranaike International Airport (Colombo) later this year and I’m a bit confused about the best way to get into the city. I’ve read that there are a few options like taxis, airport buses, or even trains, but I’m not sure which one is the most convenient and reliable.
Has anyone recently traveled this route? How long does each option take, and what are the approximate costs? Is it easy to catch the airport bus if I arrive late in the evening, or would a taxi be safer at night? Also, I heard the nearest train station is not directly at the airport — is it worth considering for first-time visitors, or too much hassle with luggage?
Basically, I’m looking for the best balance between cost, comfort, and safety. Any first-hand tips or recommendations would be super helpful. Thanks in advance
