Yes, there are definitely kid-friendly resorts in the Maldives – I went there with my family last year, and it turned out way better than I expected. A lot of people think Maldives is only for honeymooners, but plenty of resorts are set up really well for families.
We stayed at Kuramathi, and it was perfect for us – they have a kids’ club, a little splash area, and the lagoon was shallow enough for my kid to safely play around. I also liked that the island was big, so we could bike around and explore instead of feeling stuck in one spot.
Friends of mine stayed at Soneva Fushi, and honestly, that’s a dream if budget allows. Their kids’ club “The Den” is massive – slides, pools, activities – almost like a little adventure park.
If you want something closer to Male (so less travel time after your flight), Kurumba Maldives is a great option. It’s family-friendly, has plenty of food choices, and you don’t have to take a long seaplane ride, which is a blessing with young kids.
👉 My advice: choose a resort with a kids’ club, safe lagoon, and family villas. That way the kids stay entertained, and you still get to enjoy the Maldives vibe without worrying all the time.
